Innocent Bystander Drummer Steve Berenson

Steve Berenson plays a vintage 1967 Ludwig drum kit. He’s the second owner of an “oyster blue” (blue, black and white swirl) set that is similar to the oyster black (black and white swirl) drums played by Ringo Starr on the Beatles’ first US tour in 1964. The mounted tom-toms are 12 and 13 inches. The floor tom-tom is 16 inches, and the bass drum is 22 inches. He uses a standard 14” chrome snare drum, and three Zildjian brand cymbals (a 16” medium ride, a 16” crash ride, and a 20” thin crash). His hi-hat has 14” “New Beat” hit hat cymbals, his bass drum pedal is by Tama, and he uses Remo drum heads, with Clear Pinstripes on top and Ambassadors underneath. He works as a professor at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California.Cover band The Innocent Bystanders play live music in San Diego.
